Established in 2004 we want to use the experience gained recruiting senior finance/human resources professionals to offer a fresh and down to earth approach to recruitment. We base this on honest relationships, sound judgement and exceptional customer service.
Having seen some of the frustrations candidates and clients face, we saw an opportunity to move away from the methods adopted by large corporate recruitment brands. We wanted to provide a more personal service founded on transparency, flexibility and long-term objectives. Today, every member of the Allen Lane team shares this approach – we all view recruitment as a career and not a job.
Our success at Allen Lane is largely down to the recruitment and retention of some of the most established consultants in the recruitment market and we are proud to say that Allen Lane is a Fast Track 100 brand; having been acknowledged as one of the UK’s top 100 fastest growing businesses and as a Recruiter Fast 50 brand in 2012.
Since 2004 Allen Lane has developed a far-reaching influence and presence within the marketplace, but despite this significant growth in reputation and turnover, we continue to pride ourselves in offering a service more akin to a smaller ‘owner run’ business
Over half of all local authorities in England rely on Analyse Local to provide an accurate forecast of threats to rateable value. To assist budgetary planning, the company provides accurate and timely information on the movement of the rating list. Forecasts are updated with the latest data every week, and any assistance and support is provided with any audit enquiry made in respect of the undertaken analysis.
Furthermore, over 200m of missed rateable value identified by Analyse Local has been included in the rating list. This has resulted in £180m backdated liability and £96m being retained by our clients. This product was developed in association with the Institute of Revenues Rating and Valuation (IRRV) and, unlike rating surveyors who undertake rateable value appeals, Analyse Local has no potential conflict of interest issues.
Analyse Local also provides online business rates learning, an interactive software application that offers training and guidance in all aspects of business rates administration. The company also provides expert advice on individual cases, delivered by its team of RICS valuation practitioners.
Arlingclose is a UK company and proudly remains the market leading independent treasury management and capital financing advisor to UK local authorities.
The company provides services to over 170 UK local authorities across all tiers of local government and continues to enjoy a sustainable level of growth in clients seeking tailored and specific advice free from conflicts of interest.
In the last 12 months Arlingclose has made further investment in experienced personnel and systems across a range of new initiatives. These include new funding opportunities and solutions, debt restructuring, an on-line treasury management system and, most recently, an automated dealing platform for inter-local authority borrowing and investment. These developments complement and enhance our core service offering whilst delivering further added value to our clients.
